Giving is Mission

Our life and all we have is on loan to us, a gift that we revere with gratitude and hold with open hands. Life is a gift we have to use and give away, because the realm of God is abundant, and we are invited into its fullness.

In the language of the church, stewardship is an attitude about life which leads to action, and action requires a generosity of spirit. Without Christ at the center, we are inclined to hold back for fear of not having enough, but thanks be to God, grace abounds. We are children of the loving God whose provision of love is always enough. We are called to trust in the promises of God’s mercy.

Ascension Society Planned Giving

Planned giving establishes a way for you to provide for family members while also remembering the church, usually through:

• a bequest in a will
• a life income gift such as a pooled income fund, a charitable gift annuity, or a charitable remainder trust
• gifts of special assets such as appreciated securities, real estate, stocks, life insurance, or retirement account remainders

Planned gifts can be designated for Christ Church of the Ascension's general fund or specific CCA ministries. Please review your planned giving options with your attorney or financial advisor.
