Allison Brown, Parish Administrator

Allison is a native to Phoenix growing up downtown in the house that is now the University Club across the street from the Heard Museum. She started coming to Christ Church 5 years ago and is excited about her new position as Parish Administrator. She has been in retail management for 24 years in California and Arizona. Over the course of her career, she has served on three non-profit Boards, one of which was at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the California College of the Arts in Oakland, California and 9 years ago went back to school for a Certificate of Graphic Design. She has two children, Robyn who lives in the UK and Sam who lives in Portland, Maine. She enjoys photography, gardening, walks with her dog and traveling.


Julie Lyons, Director of Family Ministries

Julie has lived in Arizona since 2001. She comes to Christ Church with a multidisciplinary background. Julie earned her B.A. from San Francisco State University and her MHI from Arizona State University. Before coming to Christ Church, Julie worked as the Director of Marketing and Development at Christ Church School. Julie has also enjoyed serving as a children’s leader in Bible Study Fellowship and a substitute teacher at Scottsdale Christian Academy.

Julie is honored and humbled to have the privilege of serving the children and families of Christ Church. Her desire is to continually draw near to God and to do the work He puts in front of her.

Julie and her daughter Abigayle live in Phoenix with their two dogs. Julie loves to spend time with her daughter, cooking, swimming, and reading.


Tom Peterson, Music Director

Tom is an Arizona native and a recent graduate of the Royal College of Music in London. He came to Christ Church in 2010 and has previously served as tenor and Associate Music Director.

He teaches music theory and history at Phoenix College and loves reading and hiking. He and his wife, Teriann, live in Phoenix with their dog, Roxie.

 

 

 

 


Joshua Mungillo, Youth Ministry

Josh grew up in church and has been a Christian for a majority of his life. He grew up in a non denominational church before discovering the Episcopal church. Josh has been doing youth ministry since he was in college. Before coming to Christ Church he was a youth leader for an urban youth ministry at St.Judes Episcopal church. Josh joined the CCA staff in the summer of 2014 and has loved every moment of his time at CCA. He also has spent every summer since 2013 at Chapel Rock as a counselor and Head Counselor.

Josh has his degree in Marketing from GCU and is currently working on his Masters. His hobbies include reading random Theology books (and the Bible). He loves to hit the gym and read a good book while eating redvines!


Beth Wickstrom, RN, Parish Nurse

Beth is a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of nursing experience having graduated from the first nursing class at Scottsdale Community College in 1974. Beth's professional experience includes; Psychiatric Nursing, Allergy & Immunology, School Nursing, Teaching IV Therapy and most recently, Occupational/Community Health. Beth completed the RN Re-entry Program in 2004 and recently completed the DUET Foundations of Faith Community Nursing Course.

Faith Community Nursing has been in existence in Arizona since the 1990's. The practice of a Parish Nurse combines professional nursing and health ministry and values the Scope and Standards of Faith Community Nursing Practice (ANA,2005).
With the Clergy and close association with DUET, Partners In Health & Aging, Beth has found the support to begin a Faith Community Nurse Ministry here at Christ Church Of The Ascension.

Beth has been a member of Christ Church Of The Ascension almost all of her life. Married to Jon, they have two children, Dylan and Ebbie. Beth enjoys walking with her friends & dog, Bentley, traveling and living in Arizona.


Ann Hollman, Church Organist

Ann Hollmann has been organist at Christ Church of the Ascension for 10 years, and has been a church musician for 45 years at various parishes. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Organ Performance. Ann and her husband John live in Mesa with their dog, Jake. Ann and John have been married for 37 years, and have a daughter Sarah, son Paul, daughter-in-law Sharon and grandson Leif.
