This Sunday we celebrate the Feast of The Baptism of our Lord Jesus Christ and are fortunate enough to have two baptisms during the 10:15 service. Baptisms are a very special event if the life of our church. We come together as a loving family, celebrating new life in Christ, and promising, as a community, to support the candidates. Supporting newly baptized children in their spiritual walk is a gift that our Christ Church family takes to heart and is a beautiful thing to witness. Thank you to all of you who continually model Christ’s love to the children and support them as they mature in their faith and grow up in the church.
This Sunday we will resume the early 9:15 am Sunday School classes and continue our journey through Epiphany. Adults will meet in Rector’s Hall to explore and better understand Spiritual Gifts. Our children will meet in their classrooms as their wonderful teachers share the meaning of baptism and what the Bible tells us about Jesus being baptized by John! There is so much wonder in these lessons! This is a perfect time to reflect on the gifts God gives us and consider how we might use them to bring Him glory. Looking forward to celebrating with you all this Sunday!
